The Clayton Cameron Memorial Bursary

The Clayton Cameron Memorial Bursary is given to a graduating grade 12 student who has demonstrated strong leadership and volunteering in the area of children/youth at Sunset Community Centre

Clayton Cameron was a coordinator at Sunset Community Centre. He, with members of the Sunset Community, was instrumental in re-establishing the non-profit Sunset Community Association in 1986. Mr. Cameron passed very shortly after retiring. It is in his memory this award is presented.

The bursary is intended to assist students desiring a post-secondary education. $500 will be released, via cheque, upon proof of registration from a recognized post-secondary institution. Proof of registration must be received by December 31st. 2021.

Requirements:

  • An autobiographical account of volunteer experiences in maximum two pages, 11pt. Calibri font, double spaced.
  • Please provide three references (not family), including name, relationship & contact information
  • Place application in envelope and put to the attention of:

All applications will be reviewed and considered by the Sunset Community Association. All decisions are final. Sunset Community Association reserves the right to withhold the bursary in any given year if there are no suitable candidates.
