What can I do to be more involved in my community?

Being involved in your community makes you a more responsible citizen.  You are taking an active role in helping to shape your community.  Being more involved can also give you a voice in your community. There are many ways to get involved in your community. Making new connections to your community benefits everyone.  If you want to help out in your community, all you need is free time and the desire to make your neighborhood a better place. You can inspire others as well as yourself!

Want to participate in new community centre programming; shape creating new community garden(s); inspire stewarding at our numerous parks, green ways and playgrounds?

Payal attended John Oliver School, she is currently enrolled at Kwantlen Polytechnic University and pursuing her career in Business. We would like to thank Payal for her service and dedication to Sunset Community Centre. We would also like to wish her all the best in her future Studies!

Canada Day Activities have been postponed

Dear Sunset Community Member, Canada Day activities have been postponed in light of challenging times. At this time we would like to show our respect and offer those impacted by the tragic discoveries of the remains from residential schools. On July 1st the Sunset Community Association in partnership with the Greater Vancouver Food Bank will be distributing food hampers for our community.
