Morning Yoga (NOV-DEC)

Morning Yoga is suitable for all levels of experience. In this series discover the benefits of yoga through breathing exercises, dynamic yoga asanas/poses, stretches, and meditation. We will work on strengthening your body, enhance flexibility, improve balance, and relaxation as you develop a more profound connection to your body, and a more focused mind.Cindy began taking yoga classes over 16 years ago. She noticed the benefits of yoga when she took to the slopes that Winter, having gained better balance and stability that improved her skiing. Since then, Cindy discovered the benefits of Sadhana–the spiritual practice of yoga, which helped her destress after busy days as a landscape architect. With a love of the outdoors, she has taken her practice wherever she travels by the California beaches, facing the red rocks of Sedona, and next to serene lakes. Cindy received her 250-hour Therapeutic Yoga Teacher Training from Langara College. Yoga adapted to the chair offers all the benefits of traditional yoga on a mat: improved balance and flexibility, reduced stress, and a more focused mind. In this class, participants will be introduced to asanas (poses) adapted to meet their individual needs. Though breathing exercise, dynamic yoga asanas, stretches, and meditation, we will improve our overall well-being and body awareness. Participants at all yoga exercise levels are welcome. Cindy began taking yoga classes over 16 years ago. With 16 years of yoga practice, Cindy completed her 250-hour Therapeutic Yoga Teacher Training from Langara Community College. She hopes to share the many benefits of yoga and help her students strengthen their bodies and calm their minds with the goal of clarity and peace. Drop-in $10.
