Artist in Communities Residency at Sunset Community Centre

Sunset Community Centre, in partnership with the Vancouver Park Board, will be hosting a new artist residency starting in Jan 2018. This Artist in Communities program builds community by making art together using principles of community cultural development and support artists working in neighborhoods to encourage a wide variety of interactions between artists and residents. Artists collaborate with community members (who may not see themselves as artists) as creators, producers, performers, and active audiences. This residency project will leave lasting physical or social legacies in the community.

Moberly Arts Centre  is pleased to announce Julie Hammond and Matthew Ariaratnam as our Artists in Communities at the Sunset Community Centre. Their project, called Wayfinding // Wandering, will encompass a series of happenings and workshops that will engage our South Vancouver residents.

Rise and shine for the longest day of the year! Join us for an early morning exploration of sunrise sounds and feelings. Meet at Moberly Arts and Cultural Centre (7646 Prince Albert Street), with breakfast to follow the walk.
